GPA project for the San Miniato leisure centre involves three different buildings, liked by a loggia on the first floor, as well as another separate building. The buildings housed some of the typical industries of Tuscany, such as a tannery. The area extends for 16000 m², of which 4000 m² of buildings and the complex is composed of 47 directional units, two restaurants, one bar, the bank and the secondary school “liceo scientifico”. The architectural materials chosen by GPA for the façade alternates between solid surfaces rendered yellow and opaque surface, using Vicenza stone, to transparent windows with aluminum frames. These state of the art windows cover also the curved roof.
