The building is developed on 4 floors, with a total area of 38.000 m². It has a linear facade in the front 300 m long and a comb shape in the back, where 5 comb teeth are the building extensions facing the Arno River. The structure has been designed by GPA with both reinforced concrete and steel system. The façade is Santafiora Stone, a local stone, tipycal from this area. The architectural shape is horizontal in order to facilitate the connections between the different Hospital areas. In this way the use of the building makes it more convenient for staff and visitors.
